Already on 2 May the contribution "Spielzeugflut im Kinderzimmer" ran at MDR ArtourBut our production can still be seen in the MDR Mediathek.

Last year, Germans spent over 3 billion euros on toys. Grandparents and parents are more generous than ever. The consequences: Chaos in the children's room, a pile of plastic garbage and less and less room for the children's imagination. The Imaginarium of children today is characterized above all by well-marketed, artificial play worlds. Do these game worlds, thought through down to the smallest detail by marketing experts, still have anything to do with the playful processing of reality?

The authors Carmen Salas and Dennis Wagner deal in their article "Toy Flood in the Children's Room" with this and other questions concerning the excessive purchase of toys. The camera took over Wolfgang Gaube and Dennis Wagner.

You can see the contribution in the MDR media library.
