In collaboration with the author Claudia Euen a contribution was made for the MDR magazine programme Nah dran on the subject of "How much community does man need?

Recently we produced an insight into the "Herzensgemeinschaft", a housing and living project in the north of Bitterfeld-Wolfen. The date of the broadcast is tomorrow, Thursday 25 January in the programme Close to the MDR from 22:35 pm.

At first glance, everything looks barren and uninhabited. But if you look more closely, you notice the small community that has been building a sustainable and decelerated-living together. The industrialized apartment blocks of the Wolfen-Nord district were built in 1960 for the workers of the chemical parks in the area. After the turnaround, many moved away, more than half of the buildings have been rebuilt since then. But some people see the potential for a "different" life here. Seven adults and two children are drawn to a partially empty building. They want to share more than their everyday life. In the spring they want to open a communal garden. Here everyone is invited to participate, the community seeks the talk to its neighborhood.

The aim of the Herzensgemeinschaft is to "simply lead a beautiful happy life together", stresses Paul Seifert. The 36-year-old pastor's son called the project into existence three years ago. He wants to open a general doctor´s office here in the future. Everyone who is interested can bring in their resources. Monika Deinbeck lived in Dresden recently, but comes from a village near Regensburg. Because she missed rural life and cohesion, she sought like-minded people. In the summer of 2017 she moved to Wolfen-Nord. The goal: 200 people should bring back to life the old buildings and the surrounding area until 2030. This is also supported by the city, said Stefan Hermann, head of the urban Development/Construction Department of Bitterfeld-Wolfen. "You can also live well in the workplace, the offers must be simply created, listened to, heard, seen. And this is also how the Herzensgemeinschaft contributes to this, "says Hermann.

We are happy to be able to give such exciting projects the appropriate attention. Another TV broadcast of one of our productions is scheduled for next week. What exactly it is about, we will write about in the next few days in our News Section and about Facebook. From now on you can also find us on Instagram!
